The legendary pianist, composer and band leader Horace Silver sadly passed away yesterday, aged 85. His compositions, recordings and amazing piano performances have made him one of the most important pianists and composers in jazz and although it is true he had a good innings, everyone in jazz is sad about this.

We hope you rest in peace Horace, and a big thanks for all the great music.

Watch me playing three Horace Silver tunes, recorded as a tribute.
